Our very own sister, Shelby Wheeler, was chosen to go to the Alpha Phi ELI conference over at Butler University. ELI is The Emerging Leaders Institute is a five day intensive opportunity for freshman and sophomore women to better define their voice, identify their leadership skills and abilities, and learn how to make practical changes for their chapters and communities (read more about what exactly ELI is at Alphaphi.org). Here is what Shelby had to say about her experience at ELI: "Alpha Phi's Emerging Leaders Institute has been truly the best week of my entire life. I have learned so much more than I could ever articulate, especially about being a leader for my chapter. I have learned so much from the women that traveled across the state to be here with me, and I have been so blessed with these opportunities. My favorite memories have been with my Silver Circle Group, and all of the late night talks I've had with all of the inspirational women here. Something that really stuck with me is that: leaders are like candle light, and if you share your candle light by empowering those around you, will that make your candle any dimmer"
We were so lucky to have someone as wonderful as Shelby be able to go and represent the Chi Chapter at this ELI and are so excited to announce that our other sister Kelli McNamee will be heading out to ELI this next week.
